Over the past week, I worked on a piece of music to enter into 'The Pathless' music competition.
The task: to take a provided short track and creatively work with it, everything allowed as long as pieces of the original track are somehwere in the new composition.
So I created 'HEL', a 9 minute dark atmospheric piece inspired by Norse mythology.
The original track is weaved into the thick blanket of sounds, it can be heard as atmospheroc drones, as a main melody, even as an appregiated syntheziser.
Supported by drums, soft horns and strings and a choir, HEL changes and evolves over the course of its lenghty runtime.
